Examining the impact of cultural traditions that have historically constrained Malaysians from freely exploring their individual identities, including aspects such as sexual orientation, personal beliefs, gender identity, and self-discovery. Divergence posits that technology, exemplified by the transformative influence of social media, offers a means to transcend these limitations. This study delves into the profound alterations in personal identity resulting from increased connectivity, acknowledging the nuanced impact (whether positive or negative) while actively scrutinizing the evolving landscape of individual self-discovery.
